ASAN-NJ Chapter Mission

The Autistic Self Advocacy Network New Jersey Chapter seeks to advance the principles of the disability rights movement as it relates to autism.

ASAN-NJ believes in the following principles:

  •   Autistic people of New Jersey and elsewhere must have access to and enjoy the same right and opportunities as all other citizens

  •   The autistic community of New Jersey must be empowered to, and be given the chance to take control over their own lives and the future of the autistic community.

  •   The autistic community of New Jersey must have voice in local, county, state, and national policy decision, embodying the core Autistic Self Advocacy Network principle, “Nothing About Us, Without Us.”
